    Infra-jumps Empty Infra-jumps

    In CN, the more infra you have, the more expensive will be upkeep. There is one more thing. There are various levels or benchmarks of infra that will increase the infra upkeep SUBSTANTIALLY. The actual figures was lost with the previous forum. Pity.. The impact of such jumps are huge I tell you.

    The infra upkeep 'jumps' as follows:

    * 20-99.99 = 0.04 X Infra Level + 20
    * 100-199.99 = 0.05 X Infra Level + 20
    * 200-299.99 = 0.06 X Infra Level + 20
    * 300-499.99 = 0.07 X Infra Level + 20
    * 500-699.99 = 0.08 X Infra Level + 20
    * 700-999.99 = 0.09 X Infra Level + 20
    * 1000-1999.99 = 0.11 X Infra Level + 20
    * 2000-2999.99 = 0.13 X Infra Level + 20
    * 3000-3999.99 = 0.15 X Infra Level + 20
    * 4000-4999.99 = 0.17 X Infra Level + 20
    * 5000-7999.99 = 0.1725 X Infra Level + 20
    * 8000-14999.99 = 0.175 X Infra Level + 20
    * 15000-? = 0.1755 X Infra Level + 20

    Infra price to buy also jumps, and is as follows:

    * 0-19.99 = 500
    * 20-99.99 = 12 X Infra Level + 500
    * 100-199.99 = 15 X Infra Level + 500
    * 200-999.99 = 20 X Infra Level + 500
    * 1000-2999.99 = 25 X Infra Level + 500
    * 3000-3999.99 = 30 X Infra Level + 500
    * 4000-4999.99 = 40 X Infra Level + 500
    * 5000-7999.99 = 60 X Infra Level + 500
    * 8000-14999.99 = 70 X Infra Level + 500
    * 15000-? = 80 X Infra Level + 500

    Note also that these upkeep and buy prices are of course before the modifiers from Improvements, Wonders and Tech.

    So the trick is to avoid it. For example I use the 2000 mark. When you hit 1999.99 or somewhere just below, stay in that position. DO NOT cross into the 2000 mark.

    Why? The upkeep will increase if you cross the 2000 mark. But there is a level after the 2000 mark whereby you will see a net profit from the extra infra purchases. Take for example, the profit point is 2500infra. If you buy before the 2500 mark, you will have drop in income. Anything after that will be an increase of income.

    So what should you do? SAVE UP! Yes, save up until you have enough to make that Infra Jump to 2500 and beyond (up till the next level).

    How would I know what it the profit level? There are infra calculators for CN out there in the web. I have an outdated one sent to me by Tannerus a long time ago. But it works more or less. You don't really need to be so precise actually.

    I could give it to everyone to download and use. I just need someone to upload it for the mass.

    LC-Swap makes it easy for Infra Jumps. Yep, it is applicable only for nations which have more than 3000infra. LC-Swap cuts your waiting time to jump by almost half.

    Ralend, are you sure this is correct? I have tried to apply it to a real nation and the outcome is about $100 off the real value Neutral

    Well its technically not lost just extremely out of date.

    The IncCalc was made open source back in January.
